Why it exists
siderust-pod is the precise-orbit-determination layer of the Siderust ecosystem. It combines propagation, observation modelling, estimation, orbit products, and quality control while reusing the released Siderust crates for foundational mechanics, units, time scales, and reference frames.
Key Features
- Orbit propagation with two-body, J2, third-body gravity, SRP, and drag models
- GNSS code/carrier and SLR observation-model building blocks
- Weighted least-squares, Gauss-Newton, and EKF estimation components
- SP3, RINEX, ANTEX, EOP, CRD, CPF, and CCSDS OEM interoperability
- Synthetic end-to-end POD pipeline for development and validation
Getting Started
git clone https://github.com/Siderust/siderust-pod.git
cd siderust-pod
cargo test
# Validate and run the synthetic POD pipeline
cargo run --bin siderust-pod -- validate-config examples/configs/leo_gnss_mvp1.yaml
cargo run --bin siderust-pod -- run examples/configs/leo_gnss_mvp1.yaml Contributing
